Projects
- “5 in a row” game
- This game was developed at the end of the high school classes to obtain the confirmation that I completed the Computer Science classes. - Hardware store stock management application
- This little aplication was developed in Java in colaboration with two other colleagues of mine as a college project for the Java course. - Mosaic
- In the 3rd year of college, Mosaic was the first project for the Artificial Intelligence course. This project was developed in Matlab and took an image as input and recreated that image out of other small images. - Image scaling without distorting the content
- A project developed for the Artificial Intellicence course made in Matlab according to the discovering of seam carving method made by Shai Avidan (from Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs) and Ariel Shamir (from The Interdisciplinary Center & MERL). - Facial detection
- This project was developed in Matlab in collaboration with another colleague of mine for the Artificial Intellicenge course. It takes an image as input and finds the faces in it. - Faculty Finder (in progress)
- This is an Expert System developed in Prolog in collaboration with a colleague of mine during the Expert Systems course. It asks the user some questions and then, based on some rules given by us and on the user’s answers makes a deduction and suggests a faculty to follow. - Car dealership application for cars sale
- This project was developed in a team of three using C# programming language in a MVC architecture and deployed in Azure Cloud. The buyer could choose a car and some extra options to add to the car. One could also choose to pay monthly for the car and the selected options during a number of years selected by the user. After introducing his email address, the customer would receive the details of the purchase in his e-mailbox.
Other activities
- I attended a series of workshops held by RoWeb - DCS where I learnt more about Agile methodologies and it’s principles and I witnessed at the development cycle of a software solution. I also learnt about the importance of using versioning systems (Git) and building systems (Maven). We were told about coding style principles, as well (Keep it Simple, Stupid, Principle of Least Surprise, Single Responsibility Principle, Convention over Configuration).
Resources
- Recently I discovered an interesting book that is currently on my to read list. The book is called Thinking in Java by Bruce Eckel.
- As another documentation resource I would include the Stack Overflow website. I believe that almost every programmer that runs into trouble will find at least a part of the answear here.
Hobbies
- I like to play piano and guitar.
- I love to spend my spare time with my friends or family.
- I like having a walk with a friend giving us a moment to have a quick chat.
- I am an amateur photographer.
